found the bad lifter and i picked up a spare 6.0 short-block today

its gotta be a bad lifter after investigating the flex plate and converter etc, pulled the motor to make it easier, its easy to pull this motor, so ill take off the heads and look it over tomorrow.

5.3 running already but what is this noise?!

slammed in the 5.3, sized a belt, fit the corvette alt bracket and stock truck tensioner, turbo fits. whew.

lots of stuff done today, motor is in, swapped on the stock tensioner and put the corvette bracket on, fit the truck alternator to that, and then made the turbo kit fit, whew its close! ill probably have to re do it for the 80 anyway since i will need to redo the down-pipe and stuff also, its nice to know i can drive it with the other turbo and see how it does.

with a spare used one out of another 4.8, just threw on the rod, bearing and all.

went to island today and hit a low 10, hurt something

pretty happy with my pass other than, it seems to have laid over, air fuel looked good on the incar video... i had the back drivers side plug laid over, touching, i replaced it with a stock olug iridium and it seems to be running fine, gunna do a compression check in the morning and see if i hurt anything.
