blazer dash in the yellow car!
since i paid about 100 dollars for the camaro SS dash *cluster and wiring* i thought what the hell i will pull a 20 dollar GMC jimmy dash out and see if it can work the same.
so i tested it first, then wired it in.

yellow car shakedown on the dyno
threw the yellow car on today and had some trouble, but its the first time it has been out of the garage period so it did great temperature wise, i believe i have a bad coil or bad plug, or more than one. going to get that sorted out and get back on the rollers
put the black car on the dyno
well i put the black car on the dyno and it hit 12psi and 12deg of timing and laid down 413rwhp to the tire and 400ftlbs of tq super safe tuneup

brake boosting 15psi in the garage
mounted the wastegates today with light springs, bench test moves them at 5psi ish, so hoping with no reference they are around 15psi, wich it looks like they might be, i would like to hook up some reference points to them and dyno on 5psi

updates on fairmont 3 today
but for now i think a good test of is the turbo and hotside better, is using the same intercooler we always do.
got the radiator mounted up in the car
88 mustang gt upper rad hose, cherokee lower rad hose
had to cut the lower rad support, *its double layered* dropped that rad about 2.5 inches down to make it flush
that is the truck alternator bracket drilled out and shoved on sideways
have to credit my friend for coming up with that one, and a 69 inch belt from AZ teeing it all together.

time for the 5.3 to go together
today we made some room, pushed the cars back, had to replace the caster wheel on the engine hoist, then we moved the painted 5.3, installed valvesprings, studded the motor, removing one head bolt at a time then installing the studs, once the studs and springs were installed we did the cam. This time after pulling the balancer i used a LS7 crank bolt wich is longer than a truck bolt, pulled the balancer right on no problem then you finish with the truck bolt, man this worked so well i dont know why i have never done it, like it was meant to do it, crazy how i have never heard of it till my friend john said something about it, thats the way he does it.
either way the motor is back in the yellow car already with the reiners engine mounts ready for the turbo kit tomorrow.

another stock dash gauge conqured today
since my stock sending unit was bad, i installed a universal 0-90 ohm sending unit in the stock tank, and ran that to the PCM today and setup the stock gauge in the software, unbelievable how easy that was, i couldnt believe it. so just oil pressure left to do now.
