66 c10 chevy pickup with a 03 5.3 and 4l60e in it
fired this swap today, Joe and Ryan swapped the truck and wired it, and i just stopped by to plug in the ecu and get it fired up and running! awesome to see it key to life, the injectors were actually frozen and we had to hit them with a wrench and power them off the battery with alligator clips to kick them open haha

bad balancer?!
i had a crazy vibration at idle and part throttle cruise, everything is tight so i pulled the belt off to see if something was hanging up and its ok.
replaced the balancer last night, my friend said the balancer might be dicked because his tow truck shook like a bitch when the balancer was bent or went bad somehow lol
this truck, well the truck this motor came out of, the brake lines blew out and it ran into a tree, so it could have been tweaked a little.
i swapped on another balancer i had, and this one came off so easy, something had to be wrong, i thought my puller was fucked up it came off so easy.
anyway i put the new balancer on and its much happier, also it was nice to dump the coolant system as the heater core made my entire coolant system brown and muddy already hahaha

lost the serp belt today
kicked the belt off this thing today while pedaling 2nd gear hard, decided to try just for fun, building an alternator sheild so its harder for it to throw the belt off it, i am assuming its kicking it off the alt since its the smallest pulley with the least surface area. so cut this out of an old flex plate hahah
and a nice shot of the car while pulled over boiling over hahha

i had a partial meth kit laying around and a friend of mine had a spare snow performance 3 qt container, so i installed that today! excited to turn up the boost now!
my dad hates dirty cars
so he had to do something about it with this new fairmont, just quick polished the paint, didnt get to throw wax or anything else on the car, it has no clear coat on the yellow/cream color

valvesprings and pressing on
installed the 50 dollar valve springs today to see how they do in comparison to the pac1218s wich are 140 ish... they seem good so far, i raised my boost to 10lbs without a problem right now, just crushed in some more wastegate spring for the car to see how it will do should be 14lbs of boost on the wastegate right now after this, probably going to add the methanol kit to the car tomorrow and continue pushing, also i think we are going to race the firebird tomorrow
permanent wideband and IAT sensor finally
finally wired this thing in permanently to the key, so it wont kill the battery, also wired the output into the ECU and got that working, also mounted it in a blank spot of the dash!
Finally... IAT installed in egr plug haha, i was nervous about the sensor coming out or moving under boost, drilled a hole, put the sensor inside, covered in rtv, and put a small hose clamp on it so it cant move or get pulled/blown out hahaha then RTV'd the plug walls, and hammered it down with a socket.

fairmont first driving video!
quick update sorry for the phone sounds over the recording.
car is doing good! more miles everyday
firebird turbo and fuel update
we were able to go 10.30 @ 134 ish with the s475 on 20lbs of boost
we had the car out with the billet 80 again sunday, and ran out of fuel at 19lbs of boost
the car has twin 255s in the tank, with a hotwire, half inch feed, and a regulator and return system
we pulled the pumps today and replaced one of the 255s with a 400lph i had laying around
removed the bottom of the basket,
installed a Y fitting instead of a brass T fitting
and used a junkyard connector with like 10 12g wires and used 5 for power and 5 for ground, ran a 8g power and ground to the connector and ground externally in the car.
the car had a 11.5 AFR on 17psi and it was quickly running away into the high 12s at 19psi
left the car the same from the track, took it out and on 19lbs its a 10.0 AFR
nice improvement hahah going to do some trimming and get back out
the firebird went 6.4x @ 109 in the 8th and then 10.66 @ 99mph in the brakes hard after running out of fuel. haha
so we will update again when we head out this weekend most likely
nice picture of the wiring
track pass of going 10.6 on the brakes, car cut a 1.47 60ft!
64x@109 in the 8th!

fired the car up a few times, warmed everything up, checked fluids, double checked, topped things off, made excuses, checked gears, checked trans, checked shifter, added zipties, checked fluids again, started it a few more times, everything seemed good, oh ill take it up south 4th st, i back out and go into drive, all is well, turn and go up the road, that is great too, get about a mile up the road, and notice its pretty rich, cool, ill fix that, i am on the real time tuning table, i highlight high load and hit .9 to take out 10% and hit multiply, and the car shuts off dead as fuck. had to get towed home. apparently something is wrong with the wiring harness because it says no VCM at all all the time, if i pull the computer and put it into my bench flash harness it works fine, i replaced every relay, fuse, ground, power, everything is good, car just cranks like there is nothing going on, terribly, terribly frustrating.
so i guess tomorrow i will call jon from PSI conversion harness and see what he thinks of that whole scenario
