pulled the heads, manifolds, DIPSTICK! and installed the cam
man today went great, only a few hours pulled both heads, all the lifters and the crank pulley and cam, everything looks like a million bucks, so we slammed the Tick Performance cam in there immediately, then threw the timing cover back on and called it a night.
we even got the dip stick out without snapping it off in the block! talk about a motor!

Do you ever pin the crankshaft for the balancer?
ReplyDeleteno, on these turbo motors i never do, when i did the magnacharger on my g8 it came with a crank pinning kit. but on these junkyard motors just pull em off and hammer them on
