chad mad a pass today and afterwards there is some bottom end noise, he already has the top end apart, and it looks spotless haha curious to see if he crushed a rod bearing or something

installed the welded diff and tested it out!
swapped out the rears today, welded junkyard open diff, vs stock gov lock
it was pretty bad, i jacked up the rear and put it in neutral, i could spin one wheel and the other would not spin at all, or if it would spin i could offer just a little resistance and the clutch would spin, they were both totally worn out from the mileage and i bet the hp i was throwing at it was not helping at all
fired it up, and went to go fill the tank and beat it up!
she hit 212k on the way home and it feels like i picked up 200hp now that the power is getting to the equally all the time.

stuck wastegates!
had some problems with the truck and long story short we found the wastegates were stuck open! haha
we fixed them by drilling them out with a drillbit, nice and smooth operation now hahah

valentines day gift for the truck 12psi
so its been doing really well, time to up the boost, since it makes 4psi you can assume connecting top and bottom will make 2x the boost 8 psi, and disconnecting the wastegate entirely will make 12psi.
so i totally disconnected the WG and it makes 12psi!
it also frys the tires from a 2nd gear roll.

i had time to cruise it and grab some video
4psi of boost, 12deg of timing, still working on the tune, meaning its barely tuned at all, haha but it drives and makes turbo noises.

some fixes today for the truck
this was my fault, we fixed it today haha. also redid the drains with pipe fitting and 90s instead of barbs and bends. also found tables in the stock ecu that were screwing with me with some help... time to throw in some fuel and see what happens with this tank and pumps tomorrow or thursday.

home stretch with the twin turbo truck
well, busted ass today, hung the turbos, got all the intercooler piping cept for a crazy section in the front, from above the sway bar, to the intercooler in the front, going to an auto store tomorrow to grab 90 and 45 couplers and see what will work best for that, quit on that and finished all the wiring for everything, installed fuse panel, then we figured out what we wanted to do for the exhaust and figured fuck it, make both duals go back to where the stock exhaust was, more length should calm it down, blowing it out the passenger side in front of the tire like a lightning, so fabbed up all that today, and welded in a bung for the wideband. plugged in the stock narrow bands up front, all the couplers are connected nice for the turbo outlets, replaced the center driveshaft piece today with the right one finally...
also mounted the oil return pump to the frame. finished all the wiring and hoses for that...
everything is looking good, very very few things left to do.
should be ready to fire up and let the motor, coolant and trans come up to temp, check for leaks, and make sure everything is full.
then if all is well maybe it will move under its own power?!

4l80e and converter installed, and some other details
well we got the trans and the converter in no problem, the trans mount is a little beat, none of the parts stores had em, so we will try some others tomorrow or order that off the internet, also the driveshaft is 2 piece, and has a center support and bearing, that bearing rubber isloator thing is shot, i got a replacement but turns out now that we cut mine out, it does not fit, haha, so i need one that fits, after this i just decided to get the cold side piping done, thats all clamped in place, a little tight to the belt, but not hitting, might have to hammer it or get a 45degree for the throttle instead of a 90, on top of that i finished the wiring for the fuel pumps and meth and oil pumps, i just have to connect them to a fuse panel tomorrow, i ran out of spares haha.
also drilled the stock washer fluid tank for the methanol kit, thing holds nearly 2 gallons... ran the lines, drilled and tapped the intake pipe now that that is in place, and primed the system. T'd the hobbs switch for that meth pump into the intake where the map sensor is plugged in and set it for 6psi of boost.
i also got a blackbear harness for LS1 fans since i found a deal on a set of LS1 fans, connected all that cept for the AC connection, have to get the car running and test for the AC clutch power wire to make sure i tap the right one.
other than that list, there is still a bunch more to do.
welder is out of welding gas...
haha

truck is alive! then we pulled the trans...
fired it once i did the oil lines, everything worked good to feed and return the oil, very well, so then we hooked everything up and fired it, viola! running good everything seems great, so we shut it off and pulled the trans for my friend to build tomorrow, and then we will put in the trans, converter, and maybe even take it for a spin...
