Matts 79 corvette ls swap!

get it working then clean it up!?

this is the wiring i threw together quick for my neighbors corvette, 79 vette with a silverado 4.8 and 60e swapped into it, i like to use wire nuts to make sure everything is working before you permanently wire it, then after it was all working he cleaned it up nice and neat on the right side, looks stock!

swapped 76/64 to 78/75 today

swapped the turbo out today to see if there was a big power difference, and there was almost no power difference at all really.

it made nearly the same power as the other turbo, leads me to believe something else might be up with the setup, interesting result indeed.

blazer dash in the yellow car!

since i paid about 100 dollars for the camaro SS dash *cluster and wiring* i thought what the hell i will pull a 20 dollar GMC jimmy dash out and see if it can work the same.

so i tested it first, then wired it in.

fairmont 3 and 4 switcherooo

Due to rediculous import fees, i will not be selling the 3.0 car to my mexican friend, he has estimates over 3300 dollars so far in import fees and taxes etc, Honestly i just feel bad sticking him with that kinda bill, and i like the car, so i will keep it for now, what i am going to do now is, pull the weak point out of it wich is the gen3 4.8 and smaller turbo, and install the 5.3 i have and the better turbo and hotside and go nuts.

the black car is getting the 4.8 and a ls1 cam i have laying around and we will see how that does with the 60e, stock driveshaft and 7.5 rear end.

so that is the new experiment, saturday corey and i pulled the 4.8, removed the cam, and installed the ls1 cam, and installed it all back into the black car, going to be studding, and installing the isky cam, and then pac1218 valvesprings into the yellow car with the 2005 5.3l motor and the reiners hotside and s476 billet turbo.

should be nuts! this is the best choice i think because this yellow car has the fuel system, rear, trans, and converter to go nuts already.

fairmont 4 running!

268,000+ mile motor runs great, i guess we can move on with the plans here.
