updates on fairmont 3 today

started eyeballing a intercooler into the car today, going to give our regular small intercooler a try as a fair test of power difference, then i might go stupid later like large custom 4 inch core or air to water intercooler setup.
but for now i think a good test of is the turbo and hotside better, is using the same intercooler we always do.

got the radiator mounted up in the car

88 mustang gt upper rad hose, cherokee lower rad hose
had to cut the lower rad support, *its double layered* dropped that rad about 2.5 inches down to make it flush
that is the truck alternator bracket drilled out and shoved on sideways
have to credit my friend for coming up with that one, and a 69 inch belt from AZ teeing it all together.

going non intercooled

for some testing, mainly because the intercooler might be a restriction at this point, and also slowing the turbo spool and a few other things, since i am mostly on e85 and looking to run strait e85 and also running strait methanol there is nearly no need for the intercooler at all at this point, so i will be hooking it up with a strait 3 inch pipe since thats the piping and couplers i have right now and trying it out, seeing spool times and power differences, then i will re dyno of course and see how it goes, might even swap it out to a 3.5 inch pipe later down the road and try that out, so i am cutting off the extension on the turbo and grinding the vband flat, and then connecting it and giving it a try, if all goes well i might even get it to maple grove saturday, but if not we will have the notch there for some testing anyway.
